The PEM Effect on Photoconductive CdS Films

Abstract：
This article attempts to discuss the mobility of minor carriers and their length of diffusion drift in non-degenerate insulator by utilizing the photoelectromagnetic (PEM) effect of CdS. From the formula of short current the value of μ8γ can be calculated. Since the life time, γ , of the carrier is known, the mobility, μ , can be found, and the length diffusion drift calculated from L＝ (μγKT/e)1/2
